6 Month Baby Pictures: Baby E!

It has been an absolute pleasure to follow A&A’s journey through parenthood from maternity photos, to newborns and now 6 month photos!

Already so much has changed in their lives, making me glad that we took the time to document the special places where her story began alongside her growth.

My favorite thing about this shoot, in addition to taking a walk around her neighborhood on a beautiful day, was being present as each parent rocked her to sleep for a nap, holding her close. They’ll always have these peaceful, warm moments of babyhood to remember, even when naps have become a thing of the past.

Often the newborn phase comes and goes before you’ve had a chance to meet with a professional photographer and that’s OK: begin when you can when they’re as small as you can. And remember that documentary family photos don’t require home prep, special outfits or any of the other “capacity” drains that other styles of photo shoots do! The idea is to capture a slice of this unique time in life, the things you love and want to remember most as your baby – and her care – continues to change.

If you did a newborn shoot, 6 months is the perfect time for an update because you have more of your daily routines figured out, you know how to get those gummy grins and exciting changes, like starting solids, are on the rise.

If I haven’t convinced you yet, its OK – look through more photos and I think you’ll see. There’s so much gorgeous daily life to celebrate throughout all of infancy, you can’t really get the timeframe wrong. Just do the thing – invite someone in with a camera so that you can be fully present and well remembered.
